Membership Committee
Duties of this committee will focus on the recruitment and retention of members in all of the IASA membership categories with special emphasis on Active and School Service Members.
AASA membership will also be encouraged through this committee, but AASA membership is not a prerequisite to serve on this committee.
All new superintendents in the Region will be contacted in July and invited to join IASA and to attend the first IASA Region meeting of the year. Arrangements should be made for an IASA member to escort the new superintendent to the first Region meeting.
The Membership Chair will work with members of the region to identify potential IASA School Service Members and invite them to join the IASA. Emphasis should be given to service members role as "partners in the process" of providing supplies, materials, equipment, programs and services to the schools and its employees for continual improvement of the public schools.
Keeps IASA Region members informed of IASA activities at Region meetings and by other reporting vehicles.
