At the 2007 AASA National Conference on Education, Dr. Brent Clark and the IASA Presidential Team led a group of IASA members and guests in a service project with Habitat for Humanity. More than forty individuals volunteered to help build houses in the Musician’s Village in New Orleans.
In an effort to reach out to the community hosting the 2008 AASA National Conference on Education, IASA has scheduled a service project with Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County in Florida. For anyone unfamiliar with Habitat for Humanity, the organization builds decent, affordable housing for families in need. These families, along with volunteers, invest time and “sweat equity” into the homes.
Thank you to all of our volunteers! Click here to read about the event and see pictures.
