• Global Service Project

The deadline to apply for the 2024 IASA Global Service Project to the Dominican Republic has been extended to April 26. Limited spots are available so don't wait to apply. The IASA Global Service Project is an opportunity to engage in a global service project that benefits a local community in the Dominican Republic.

The sign-up options have changed this year to open up opportunities for more districts across the state. Superintendents can sign up alone, with a school board member or with another administrator from the school district.

When: Tentative dates are October 11-16, 2024 with the exact dates being announced closer to the trip.

Cost: Through the generosity of our Partners, each participant only pays $750 ($1,500 for group).

Why Attend: The purpose of the IASA Global Service Project is three fold:

    • Bring together educational leaders from across our state in a common purpose for global-minded service learning.
    • Make a difference in the lives of those we serve in the Dominican Republic.
    • Inspire school districts to create opportunities for the students and staff in their communities to give back locally, nationally and globally.

How are people selected? A selection committee will review all applications in order to select a group that is a representative sample of our state. IASA will bring educators from approximately 11-12 school districts across the state to the Project (IASA staff does not travel to the Dominican Republic).
