IASA is excited to announce Elevate — a Professional Learning Community where female superintendents can engage in continuous, dynamic learning to transform their leadership impact.
The goal of Elevate is to support and celebrate Women in Leadership and the profession of the Superintendency through a unique model that sparks creativity and connection.
Participants can expect engaging, thought-provoking sessions coupled with networking, collaborating and service toward the greater field of education as a part of this community of leaders! Our goal is for every female leader to have the tools necessary to provide better outcomes for students, staff, and themselves.
Research has consistently shown that Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) are a powerful framework for driving meaningful change in education. By fostering collaboration, shared leadership, and a focus on continuous improvement, PLCs enable leaders to leverage collective expertise to solve challenges and enhance outcomes. For female superintendents, forming a PLC not only builds a network of support but also creates a space to share strategies, celebrate successes, and learn from diverse perspectives. This evidence-based model strengthens leadership capacity, promotes innovation, and ultimately improves the quality of education for students, staff, and communities.
The Elevate cohort will be led by Dr. Dawn Bridges, IASA Associate Director of Professional Learning, and facilitated by Dr. Carrie Hruby, superintendent of O'Fallon CCSD #90, and Dr. Crystal Johnson-Maden, superintendent of Rossville-Alvin CUSD #7.
Join a supportive community where networking meets professional growth, creating breakthrough moments that could reshape your path forward.
